Earlier this year Amp Energy drink announced a special promotion that would enable fans to Ride With Dale Earnhardt Jr in the Amp Energy 500. The first 70,000 fans to register would have their names featured on the special No. 88 AMP Energy/National Guard Chevrolet “Ride with Dale Jr.” paint scheme. That special paint scheme runs this weekend in the very first Amp Energy 500 race held at Talladega Superspeedway.

I registered for the promotion back when it was announced. Now Amp Energy has a section of their website dedicated to giving fans the chance to find where their name is on Dale Jr’s special paint scheme.

I entered my registered e-mail address and my name is featured on the hood of Dale’s car. It’s actually pretty easy to find my name too. Not only is it on the hood, but my name is on the far left side of Amp Energy drink logo where the top “flame” intersects the bottom “flame.” Part of my name is green, and part of it is white.

If you didn’t register you can still scan the names on the car by clicking the “Check Out All The Names Riding With Dale Jr.” button on the right side of the page. From there you can scan the different body panels.

See if you can find my name (James Jones) on the hood! My name is so generic, but surprisingly there are not a bunch of James Jones on the car.

Also on the Amp Energy website, there is also a link where you can view the video “Making the new look a reality.” In that clip they state that “Scott” is probably the most common name on the car (considering both first and last names). The project of wrapping this car with this special scheme also took approximately 150 hours!
