Driver Data- Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick has been driving the #29 Chevrolet RCR car since 2001. Now in his 9th season, he has accumulated 121 top tens, 57 top fives, and 11 wins. He has also been somewhat of a fixture on the track having only 14 DNF’s in his career. While he has accomplished all of this in someone else’s car, he is also a successful Owner in the Camping World Truck Series since 2002 and the Nationwide Series since 2004. Some have speculated that Kevin Harvick Inc. may make the jump to Cup perhaps sooner than later.

Does this mean Kevin Harvick will make the leap that Tony Stewart made this past silly season? I personally do not think so. If anything, he may work it out like Dale Sr. did when he drove for Childress and started his team. Kevin has said he doesn’t want to drive his own Cup Car. But, you never can tell until the ink is dry on the contract, and that’s one thing that is missing supposedly. According to my sources, this is a contract year for Kevin Harvick. Ultimately, our sport is a big money sport. And I suppose the decision that Harvick will make will be one of the biggest business decisions this year.

Look for Kevin to perform well at Las Vegas to make up for last week in California, but RCR is still looking for their first win at the track.
