“My NASCAR Bad Boy Moment™ #3 of the 2007 NASCAR season is jointly shared by Kevin Harvick & Juan Pablo Montoya for their on-track fracas during the Watkins Glen Centurion Boats at the Glen race.

#3: Juan Pablo & (not so) Happy Harvick At Watkins Glen

Kevin Harvick and Juan Pablo Montoya fight at Watkins Glen

This was the best race fight episode that we’ve been treated to in a long time. Not since Gordon shoving Kenseth after the 2006 Food City 500 in Bristol or Harvick mixing it up with Rudd after the 2003 Richmond race have we seen some good driver to driver contact.

Juan Pablo and Harvick mixed it up after Montoya was punted into Harvick by Truex Jr. Kevin thought it was typical Montoya over-aggression. Both drivers got out of their cars and spent some time doing patty-cake in full NASCAR gladiator attire.

Scoring the fight, I got to call out Montoya on his repeated face-masks against Harvick. I’m not sure who I’d place my money on. I’d give the brawl to Montoya until the fight progressed to the ground, then I’d have to pick Harvick. Don’t know why…just my hunch.

In the end, we didn’t get to see any fisticuffs, but in today’s NASCAR it wasn’t bad. Check out some previous NASCAR fights on YouTube if you want to see some more physical stuff.

It’s interesting that NASCAR may well have seen the benefit of letting the boys face off on the track as they didn’t issue any fines or penalties.
