Observations: Richmond International Chevy Rock n Roll 400

“I’ve got to admit I like the drama of the Chase for the Nextel Cup. I was on the edge of my couch and of anxious mind during the Chevy Rock n Roll 400 at Richmond tonight.
Ray Evernham & Erin Crocker

Wrong Orange Car

I was most worried that a couple of my favorites (Mark Martin & Jeff Burton) were not going to make the Chase. What a shocker to see that Tony Stewart is on the outside. As is par for the course with Tony, he is continually surprising me with his actions. What a gracious post race interview he gave. I’m sure it was with aprehension they approached him. I give big kudos to Tony for how he handled himself. The more I see him act this way, the more I’m convinced that the ‘what a jerk’ thoughts I sometimes have towards him are inaccurate. Thanks Tony.

Ray Evernham + Erin Crocker = TLA?

Although he is mum on his personal life in interviews, Ray’s ‘relationship’ with Erin Crocker is very evident the last few weeks on television. Why do I notice and care? I’m conflicted about it. Why should I care that he flaunts his adulterous affair? Something to do with my preconcieved notions of the rich and famous I guess. Something to do with morals. Man, if I have a problem with it I wonder how his drivers feel? Oh, thats right…we do.

Don’t Cross Your Eyes

Or, they’ll get stuck that way. Right? That’s what mom always said. Unless your Mary Lou Hamlin. I applaud your devotion to your superstitious finger crossing. But please woman, don’t hurt yourself. Give it a break.

Tony The Tiger

Can someone from Kellogg’s please give Kyle Busch a new hat? Did you notice how ragged his hat was on the post race interview. C’mon Kyle, my daughter (officially licensed by the ‘Fashion Police’) says that thing has got to go.”
