Robbie Loomis, leaving as crew chief for Jeff Gordon to assist Jimmie Johnson’s crew chief, Chad Knaus, during the 10-race ‘Chase’ stretch. Then, he jumps ship to Petty Enterprises.
Loomis will direct the entire Petty Racing organization. Robbie spent 11 years with Petty before joining up with Hendrick in 2000.
I wonder what his new job at Petty Enterprises pays? He has his work cut out for him with the Petty’s. Hopefully, he can be instrumental in getting the Petty clan back to racing prominence.”
