My son doesn’t quite know what to do with his loyalty. You see, he was a fan of the #18 Interstate Batteries car until Bobby Labonte left the team. He loves the color green and green is his favorite Kool-Aid flavor. He also really liked Bobby Labonte and thought he was nice on TV.
Then Carl Edwards came along and started doing his back flips off of cars and my son (being the typical boy) just thought that was the coolest thing. He became an Edwards fan right away. Needless to say, he was very happy to see Carl win his second race in a row. He celebrated by posing for a thumbs-up shot with his #99 Carl Edwards diecast.
So where does the confusion about his loyalty come in? Well, with Kyle Busch now in the #18 and M&M’s candy on the car with Interstate Batteries, my son is seeing more of his original favorite car. Before the start of the Vegas race I told my son that both the #18 and the #99 cars were starting on the front row. You should have seen the look on his face. He didn’t know who to root for. It seems it never occurred to him that he could have more than one car to cheer for. 
Now, my son realizes that not everyone can be as cool as he is and have two hot drivers right now. Hahaha! So I got with him and we’ve come up with a cool little deal for all of you Earnhardt Jr. fans out there. Now don’t get too excited, it’s nothing big here, but hopefully it will add a little more fun and maybe, just maybe, it’ll go to an Earnhardt Jr. fan. Now, here’s the deal on how you can win a “little” something when Earnhardt Jr wins his first race:

- Post a reply to this blog post with the name of your race team in the comments section. You must post your reply here BEFORE Earnhardt Jr. wins a race.
- When Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins his first race, I will look at every team who has posted a comment to this blog post before that first win.
Of the eligible teams, the one with the highest score that week will win the 1:87 scale #88 National Guard Diecast car as shown. (Note: If I can find another AMP version, then I’ll include it too. We only have one of those and we’re keeping that in our collection.)
